Feedback 3D
I was informed that my work lacks any interesting level of colour or idea.
To resolve this I plan to add a illustrated design onto my slotted stag to give it a boost that will make it more engaging.
I also need to find faster materials that I can work with that will give me more choice in a final idea.

Art Commission (Assistant Principal)
As a group we were asked to create a piece of artwork for the assistant
principal of North Notts College. The only guidelines we were given is that it
had to resemble the art style of Jackson Pollock. This came as an advantage as
we had all been looking into splatter painting to create compositions. We began
by building up several individual tests on a small-scale that we had already
been using for our painting unit. This aloud us to create a wide range of tests
in both technique and colour variations. After making our small-scale tests we
created a range of large-scale sheets that we worked on together.
Our first design seemed to lack in energy as the majority of splatter
was focused in the middle and the colour choice was very dark, consisting of
blues and greens.
Our second test was very warm but still lacked the ability to draw its
viewer in.
For our third test we aimed to mix both the warm and cool tones
together in a more layered style with contrasts of fine black and white streaks
cutting through the composition.
When we moved on to creating the outcome that we would be giving the
client we decided that a constant mix of cool tones and warm tones broken up
between one another worked effectively and gave the feel of a captivating
image. Again, we finished the piece off with fine white and black streaks that
gave the painting much more depth.
